Fan mail from some flounder has announced that Classic Media—the company that released the DVDs of Rocky and His Friends from 2003 to 2005, and then went into hibernation—has finally dropped the final shoe with the news that the fourth season, also known as The Bullwinkle Show, will be making its way to disc August 17th. According to David Lambert, the company wants to finish up the adventures of Moose and Squirrel before their 50th anniversary is over, and will do so with a two-disc set containing the final nineteen episodes. What else can I say except better late than never.

Shout! Factory is also hard at work on the release of the fifth season of the family comedy chestnut Father Knows Best—no specifics on the official date, but the company’s DVD producer, Brian Ward, announced on the Factory message board that it will be available in time for Fall 2010. (The company released the fourth season of Father in March of this year—but sadly, this set is not yet present and accounted for in the dusty Thrilling Days of Yesteryear archives…something I plan to rectify soon.)
