Philip Schweier e-mailed me and suggested—seeing as how DJ-writer-comic Jay Thomas is celebrating his 62nd natal anniversary today—that I post Thomas’ legendary “Lone Ranger” story (the one he told on a memorable edition of Late Show with David Letterman).
I think that’s a sensational idea. So here it is.

Thanks for posting Jay telling the Lone Ranger story. It's great and I never tire of hearing it. Jay is a favorite of mine, much to the bewilderment of my better half, B.Goode over at Gonna Put Me In The Movies.
