Back in bidness

Those individuals who peruse Thrilling Days of Yesteryear through a newsreader (Google Reader or what-have-you) are probably wondering where I’ve been for the past week or so.  I hadn’t been slacking off; it’s just that there was a honkin' big glitch in the blog's RSS feed that kept it from being updated so it looked like I hadn’t accomplished anything since November 11 when in fact I was doing my darndest to get something up every day.

The problem was driving me nuts—I was aware that something was hinky because the blog wasn’t updating on either Facebook or Twitter; fortunately, Chuckie Award-winning blogger Stacia Jones had my back and let me know that something was not kosher, newsreader wise…and as luck would have it, she was the individual who found the remedy to the problem.  As I later told her via e-mail, her Internets powers are beyond the comprehension of us mere mortals—her tech talents have catapulted her into the realm reserved for super heroines like Wonder Woman and the Bionic Woman.

(This is not actually a picture of Stacia but merely a photographic representation.)

So I just wanted to let everybody know that things are back to normal here at Rancho Yesteryear and that you should all give it up for Stacia.  No, seriously—I mean give it up…kick a little fundage into her guitar case over at She Blogged by Night.  (They don’t give away those Marie Prevost stills on eBay for free, you know.)

I thought my sister was the only person who used the word 'hinky'. Now I know 2 people (well...kind of).

I noticed that about the posts. In my blog updates it was stuck at 5 days ago. It's all unhinkified now.

Did Sister quizshow watch a lot of Dragnet growing up? Because that's how I picked up the habit.
