On the fourth day of Christmas...

Classic television fans are probably well aware that the 1965-66 detective series Honey West—starring the delectable Anne Francis as the sexy-as-all-get-out private eye who accessorized with an ocelot—was a spin-off of Burke’s Law; West was introduced in the episode “Who Killed the Jackpot?” (04/21/65)…though the actual character first appeared in a series of novels penned by Skip and G.G. (Gloria) Fickling.  Honey West lasted but a single season on ABC but its run of thirty episodes was syndicated for many years afterward—überproducer Aaron Spelling was able to cash in on the female detective concept much more successfully with Charlie’s Angels ten years later.

VCI Entertainment has released the complete run of Honey West to DVD and as part of their “12 Days of Christmas” promotion are offering the set today (and today only) for the discount price of $14.99.  If you’re interested (as an added inducement, the liner notes for the collection were scribbled down by longtime TDOY pal and supporter Laughing Gravy of In the Balcony fame), mosey on over to the website and place this baby in your shopping cart…but be sure to add the coupon code HONEY before completing your order so that you can capitalize on this sweet deal.  (You know, sooner or later VCI is going to offer a deal on a set that I don’t already have…)

I don't think VCI will ever offer that kind of deal, Ivan.

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered the set.

I love Anne Francis. I have an autographed pic from her 'mannequin' episode of the Twilight Zone.
