My kind of McCarthyism

Just wanted to post a quick reminder that Thrilling Days of Yesteryear’s “Homefront Charlie” giveaway ends tonight at 11:59pm EDT…and if you’re curious as to what this is all about, I have 2 sets of this new Radio Spirits CD release to hand out to two lucky winners.  This collection contains 20 broadcasts featuring Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy (along with Mortimer Snerd, Ray Noble and the rest of the gang) from the wartime period of the 1940s, all on ten discs and complete with a collectible booklet containing notes scribbled down by yours truly.  It’s a $39.98 value and worth every penny—some of the programs are hilariously entertaining and demonstrate why the concept of a ventriloquist on radio wasn’t as kooky as it might have seemed at the time.  The two lucky recipients (chosen by Random.org) will receive their free swag by mail—I hope to have it out tomorrow but I can’t promise anything…it will be next week by the latest.  Tomorrow, another freebie to give away to the TDOY faithful…so be sure you’re around for the announcement!
