(although he has used correct grammar in the last sentence) or "I fancy men, myself."<br /><br />It could have been a way for Fritz Lang to get crap below the radar, as B-budget Noirs likely had more sort of leeway than higher-budget movies playing it safe. Even if it often verged on exoticism and caricatures, I think these films at least had a sense of representation, and an acknowledgement that everyone wasn't necessarily a White, Straight, Christian Euro-American.<br /><br />If you interpret it the second way, with queer connotations, it's a quite early and neutral depiction of a gay person, though.
