However, his Mr. Wong was a completely different character. Of course, as much I love Karloff, it's too bad Monogram couldn't cast an Asian actor.Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307577717655310918.post-12343652285262304842011-11-30T10:33:10.303-05:002011-11-30T10:33:10.303-05:00P.S. I know it was technically a B series, but I thought they were really good movies. Despite being non-Asian, Karloff played his Chinese detective with dignity, no silly stereotypical stuff, and I thought that was unusual for that era. He was really good, and the movies were lots of fun. Thanks for an entertaining look at one of my favorite little series of movies.ClassicBeckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03591715859057540467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7307577717655310918.post-55217270361928537942011-11-30T04:02:59.099-05:002011-11-30T04:02:59.099-05:00Thanks for this really handy and thorough guide to...Thanks for this really handy and thorough guide to these films - I have yet to see any of them but as a fan of the Chan and Moto films I hope they will be just up my street - so I have just ordered them on Amazon - the power of the press in action!

Thanks again,
SergioSergio (Tipping My Fedora)http://bloodymurder.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
